Summary: We are currently seeking a Technician/Senior Technician to join our Highways and Infrastructure Design Team in Manchester (although location is flexible, offices located in Liverpool, Leeds, Manchester and Cumbria with hybrid working arrangements).
Responsibilities:
- Contributing to the successful delivery of highways/infrastructure projects
- Preparing detailed highway design drawings using CAD software
- Developing project plans, specifications, and cost estimates
- Supporting the planning and design phases of local highway schemes
- Providing technical advice and solutions as part of a project team
About You:
- Minimum HNC qualification in civil engineering
- Self-motivated and enthusiastic
- Proficiency in AutoCAD software with experience in highway or transportation design; experience with drainage design will be beneficial
- Knowledge of civil engineering principles and practices related to highway design on the local road network
- Good interpersonal and communication skills, ability to work independently, a collaborative approach and a proven ability to deliver work on time
- Team player displaying enthusiasm, flexibility, and versatility
- Desire to build upon your existing experience, continuing your professional development with Tetra Tech
- Hold a full UK Driving License
