From the outset, you’ll have opportunities to take practical responsibility for both site and office-based work. Working within multidisciplinary ground engineering teams, you’ll plan and undertake investigations, interpret geological and geotechnical information, prepare technical reports and contribute to detailed design.

You’ll also engage with clients and support construction supervision, developing broad technical and commercial experience while learning from leading specialists in the industry.

Training, Qualifications & Experience

You’ll ideally hold a strong first degree in Geology, Engineering Geology or Civil Engineering. A higher qualification in Engineering Geology, Mining Engineering or Ground Engineering would be advantageous.

Coffey provides active mentoring, ongoing technical development and support towards professional chartership through the Geological Society of London, IoMMM or ICE.
