We are seeking a full-time Transport Planner or Senior Transport Planner for our Transport South Team based in Bristol. We offer a challenging and rewarding career working for a leading consultancy with a strong presence in London and the south of England. You will join a growing and established team delivering a wide variety of interesting projects for clients in the private and public sectors.
Responsibilities
- Your work will include development related transport planning and will include preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans, transport chapters for environmental impact assessment, and other development related transport reports.
- You will also prepare transport studies for our public sector clients.
- You will undertake site visits and attend meetings as required.
- The role will also involve some client liaison, such as attending meetings.
- Full support will be provided on a day-to-day basis by an experienced transport planning professional.
Requirements
- Experience in the preparation of Transport Assessments, Travel Plans and other transport related documents required in support of planning applications.
- Experience of analysing, collating and interpreting data.
- Knowledge of highway design principles relevant to site access design.
- An ability to use AutoCAD and GIS software.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Experience of software packages such as TRICS, Junction 10 and LinSIG.
- An understanding of the UK planning process and how your work fits into that.

Preferred Qualifications
- Degree or Masters in a relevant subject (e.g. transport planning, civil engineering, geography).
- Membership of Professional Body, such as ICE or CIHT.
