The Financial Controller will oversee financial reporting, audit coordination, and accounting operations across a multi-entity investment and treasury platform.
The role requires a technically strong finance professional with deep accounting expertise, strong operational discipline, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, high-growth environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management accounts, and supporting reports in accordance with IFRS and US GAAP.
- Manage day-to-day accounting operations across multiple entities and jurisdictions.
- Oversee month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including general ledger reconciliations and control reviews.
- Maintain oversight of accounts payable, accounts receivable, accruals, and balance sheet reconciliations.
- Lead coordination with external auditors, ensuring timely delivery of audit requests, supporting documentation, and issue resolution.
- Support preparation of any regulatory, tax, statutory and ad hoc reporting requirements.
- Strengthen and maintain internal controls, accounting policies, and financial governance frameworks.
- Drive continuous improvement across accounting processes, reporting workflows, and operational controls.
- Leverage technology and automation to improve efficiency, scalability, and reporting accuracy.
- Partner closely with operations to ensure integrity of financial data and reporting.
- Assist with implementation and optimisation of financial systems and reporting infrastructure.
- Support ad hoc financial analysis, projects, and strategic initiatives as required.
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field; ACCA, ACA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent certifications.
- 10+ years of experience in financial control, audit, or accounting, preferably at a credit hedge fund.
Prior experience in digital assets or blockchain ecosystems is a distinct advantage.
- Proficiency in Xero and Enfusion portfolio management system.
- Proficiency in Excel + VBA / Python is mandatory.
- Exceptional analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong understanding of regulatory and tax requirements.
- Excellent attention to detail and communication skills.
