About the job:

We are seeking an experienced Technical Project Manager to oversee and guide development efforts on a project. This role involves working with developers, product managers, and the CTO to drive project success to steer development efforts while being hands-on wherever needed. Strong understanding of Node.js development and a proven track record of successful product launches are essential. Additionally, the role involves adapting to a modular development pattern and building on top of the Holepunch peer-to-peer stack for our projects. Prior experience with peer-to-peer stack is great to have.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead, oversee and plan day-to-day development activities.
  • Collaborate with developers, product and leadership to ensure smooth project execution.
  • Guide the full software development lifecycle, from planning to deployment.
  • Provide guidance and resolve technical issues when required.
  • Ensure timely delivery according to project timelines.
  • Drive improvements in process and practices.
  • Communicate progress, risks, and solutions to stakeholders.

Job requirements:

  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership role, managing multiple projects.
  • 2+ years of experience in software development (Node.js).
  • Basic understanding of peer-to-peer systems is essential.
  • Basic experience with Python, C++ and Rust is good to have.
  • Proven experience launching successful products.
  • Strong understanding of system architecture, microservices and good development practices.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills with both technical and non-technical teams.
  • Experience in handling developers of varying experience levels.
  • Experience with modern dev practices: CI/CD, automated testing, agile.
