Responsibilities
- Install upgrade configure and maintain CICS Transaction Servers and related products
- Manage maintenance activities including application of fixes patches and upgrades
- Configure and support CICS Web Services CICSplex System Manager JVM Servers and related components
- Monitor and administer CICS environments to ensure service availability and operational performance
- Perform performance analysis tuning and capacity optimization activities
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and infrastructure issues
- Support CICS architecture connectivity and security troubleshooting activities
- Monitor incidents and service requests ensuring resolution within agreed SLAs
- Support change implementations maintenance activities and weekend production deployments
- Provide 24x7 rotational production support and incident resolution
- Utilize monitoring and diagnostic tools to investigate and resolve issues
- Maintain Disaster Recovery DR operational procedures and documentation
- Collaborate with infrastructure application and support teams to maintain platform stability and reliability
- To be successful in this role you should have
- Experience with installation upgrade and maintenance of CICS Transaction Server environments
- Knowledge of z CEE CICS PA CAFC and related Mainframe products
- Experience supporting CICS Web Services CICSplex System Manager JVM Servers and Angels
- Strong understanding of CICS architecture including CMAS MRO and non MRO environments
- Handson experience with CICS SSL configuration and troubleshooting
- Experience using monitoring tools such as Omegamon Sysview Main View or similar
- Ability to perform performance monitoring troubleshooting and tuning
- Knowledge of System z communications and SNA concepts
- Ability to interpret assembler output listings
- Working knowledge of z OS and JCL
- Experience with Service Now BMC Remedy or similar ITSM tools
- Strong problemsolving and troubleshooting skills
- Experience supporting Data Power WAS Java integrations and CICS connectivity
- Knowledge of Disaster Recovery processes and operational documentation
- Ability to work in production support environments with oncall and weekend support responsibilities
