Responsibilities:
- Install, upgrade, configure and maintain CICS Transaction Servers and related products.
- Manage maintenance activities including application of fixes, patches, and upgrades.
- Configure and support CICS Web Services, CICSplex System Manager, JVM Servers and related components.
- Monitor and administer CICS environments to ensure service availability and operational performance.
- Perform performance analysis, tuning and capacity optimization activities.
- Identify and resolve performance bottlenecks and infrastructure issues.
- Support CICS architecture connectivity and security troubleshooting activities.
- Monitor incidents and service requests ensuring resolution within agreed SLAs.
- Support change implementations, maintenance activities and weekend production deployments.
- Provide 24x7 rotational production support and incident resolution.
- Utilize monitoring and diagnostic tools to investigate and resolve issues.
- Maintain Disaster Recovery (DR) operational procedures and documentation.
- Collaborate with infrastructure, application and support teams to maintain platform stability and reliability.
To be successful in this role you should have:
- Experience with installation, upgrade and maintenance of CICS Transaction Server environments.
- Knowledge of zCEE, CICS PA, CAFC and related Mainframe products.
- Experience supporting CICS Web Services, CICSplex System Manager, JVM Servers and Angels.
- Strong understanding of CICS architecture including CMAS, MRO and non-MRO environments.
- Hands-on experience with CICS SSL configuration and troubleshooting.
- Experience using monitoring tools such as Omegamon, Sysview, MainView or similar.
- Ability to perform performance monitoring, troubleshooting and tuning.
- Knowledge of System z communications and SNA concepts.
- Ability to interpret assembler output listings.
- Working knowledge of zOS and JCL.
- Experience with ServiceNow, BMC Remedy or similar ITSM tools.
- Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Experience supporting DataPower, WAS, Java integrations and CICS connectivity.
- Knowledge of Disaster Recovery processes and operational documentation.
- Ability to work in production support environments with on-call and weekend support responsibilities.
