Analyzes functional business applications and design specifications. Develops block diagrams and logic flowcharts. Translates detailed design into computer software. Codes, tests, debugs, maintains and refines the computer software to produce the required product. Prepares required documentation, including both program-level and user-level documentation. Enhances software to reduce operating time and improve efficiency.
Working under the direction of a Technical Lead / Project Lead or Project Manager, a Senior Developer possesses all the technical expertise and can perform all of the responsibilities of a Mid-Tier Developer. A Senior Developer must also:
- Have experience developing and deploying complex application software on multiple platforms (e.g., Mainframe, Client Server, WEB) using various methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall, etc.)
- Provide technical direction and leadership to Junior and Mid-Tier Developers, as required
