This opportunity is in the solution design and development arena for Chief Knowledge Officer who understand and communicate complex technical information, serve as a liaison between clients and technical teams, and provide strategic solutions that meet client needs.
Job Description (Main Duties and Responsibilities)
- Develop and implement an enterprise-wide knowledge management (KM) strategy aligned with business goals.
- Establish systems and processes for knowledge capture, storage, and dissemination across departments.
- Promote a culture of learning and collaboration through the integration of knowledge sharing into daily workflows.
- Lead initiatives to map critical knowledge areas, including expertise location, key processes, and best practices.
- Oversee the selection, implementation, and governance of KM tools and technologies (e.g., intranet portals, knowledge bases, AI-driven knowledge systems).
- Work closely with IT, HR, L&D, R&D, and business unit leaders to integrate KM practices with organizational priorities.
- Identify and protect critical intellectual capital, including proprietary methods, customer insights, and innovations.
- Monitor trends in knowledge management and drive continuous improvement and innovation in KM practices.
- Evaluate the impact of knowledge initiatives through KPIs such as employee engagement, knowledge reuse, innovation rate, and operational efficiency.
- Represent the organization in external KM forums, industry groups, and knowledge networks.
Key Skills, Qualifications and Experience Needed (The candidate must demonstrate these in all stages of assessment)
- Bachelor’s degree in Knowledge Management, Information Science, Business Administration, Organizational Development, or related field.
- 10+ years of relevant experience, including 5+ years in a senior leadership role managing knowledge, innovation, or learning strategies.
- Professional certification in KM (e.g., CKM – Certified Knowledge Manager) is a plus.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to link knowledge initiatives to business value.
- Strong leadership and change management capabilities.
- Deep understanding of knowledge management frameworks (e.g., SECI model, knowledge lifecycle).
- Experience with enterprise collaboration tools (e.g., SharePoint, Confluence, Miro, Notion).
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to define and measure knowledge-related metrics.
- High emotional intelligence and a collaborative approach to leadership.
- Understanding of information architecture and taxonomy design.
- Experience in digital transformation and integrating AI/ML for knowledge discovery.
- Background in consulting, professional services, R&D, or tech-driven industries.
- Multinational or cross-cultural experience in knowledge sharing and learning environments.
