Head Of Product in Cambourne

In Testbusters, we are looking for a new digital leader who can accelerate the development of our ecosystem in Italy and project us towards our next phase of scale-up: from a leading Test Prep company in Italy to an international leader in Higher Education and Edtech.

As Head of Product & AI, you will define the vision and strategy for the technological evolution of Testbusters in Italy, with a specific focus on the development of Testbusters' proprietary technological products: custom Simulator/LMS, custom multistore Ecommerce/CMS, the development of adaptive learning AI software, and the integration of AI into various business processes.

You will align business objectives and digital strategy with product and technology choices, ensuring that every initiative is coherent, sustainable, and adds value to the organisation. You will manage and coordinate the work of the Testbusters digital team: Product Manager, Designer, Tech Lead, internal and external Developers.

You will be the person who:

• translates the business strategy into a clear, pragmatic, measurable product vision focused on user and student needs
• develops the AI roadmap based on our core and our extensive educational database
• ensures consistency between strategy, execution, and a culture of continuous improvement
• operatively guides the team through critical phases to remove obstacles and bottlenecks

Your responsibilities will include:

• Product & AI strategy, especially in the early months:

• redefining the product vision and strategy, with particular attention to the development of adaptive AI within our educational system and further AI integrations of our ecommerce and business operations
• aligning the roadmap and priorities with the business objectives of Testbusters and related brands/business lines (Peer4Med, TopSquad, MedSchool)
• designing the integration strategy between educational products, editorial content, digital content, and proprietary AI software/tools

• leading and growing the team, fostering autonomy, ownership, and collaboration
• ensuring sustainable and scalable work processes
• guiding the growth of individual team members

• translating ideas into concrete functionalities that generate real impact for students and businesses
• establishing clear priorities based on data, focusing only on what truly matters
• bringing designers, developers, and the rest of the team to work in unison

• starting from user requests, market trends, and emerging technologies
• focusing on first principles and evaluating which initiatives have the highest potential to generate significant value
• monitoring trends, opportunities, and best practices in the EdTech and AI sectors
• experimenting and bringing new solutions into the company with a pragmatic and validated approach
• collaborating with the founder and management for new product lines and business models

What we are looking for in you:

• Ability and capacity to reason on complex and abstract topics: you can identify and care for the details that matter and are not afraid of challenges
• Ambition and desire to learn: we want to become one of the leading innovative companies in education in Europe, there is much to build together
• Experience of at least 1 year in the role of Head of Product, CPO, Head of AI, CTO, CPTO, Tech Lead or similar in innovative tech or digital contexts
• Knowledge and experience in managing complex AI software development projects
• Strong teamwork spirit: you are not afraid to get your hands dirty to help the team and defend the best ideas (not just your own) resisting biases and helping others do the same
• Excellent knowledge of English: reading, writing, and speaking fluently
• Experience in designing customised data-driven products
• Knowledge of: NextJS, React, React Native, Bigcommerce

The selection process: After screening and initial interviews, we will propose some tests. This will be followed by another round of interviews with a presentation of business cases and projects to the CEO and/or other executives.
