This range is provided by Test Valley Borough Council. Your actual pay will be based on your skills and experience — talk with your recruiter to learn more.

From £40,331 to £44,107 p.a.

Responsibilities

  • Support services to accurately budget and forecast, including preparing annual budgets and producing regular management accounting information for budget holders.
  • Close off year-end accounts and deal with diverse and complex tasks specific to the service(s) the role is responsible for.
  • Demonstrate drive and initiative to continually develop and improve the service provided to customers.
  • Explain financial matters to non-finance specialists and liaise with staff at all levels, including senior management.
  • Utilise substantial IT skills, with experience of using MS Excel for data analysis and the production and presentation of management accounting information for budget holders.

Requirements

  • Part CCAB or fully AAT qualified accountant.
  • Experience in budgeting and management accounting, preferably in the public sector.
