Exciting and Rewarding Regeneration Opportunities in Test Valley.
Join our mission to shape the future of Test Valley and make a big impact on our communities. As a key member of the Regeneration team, you will play a critical role in delivering innovative and sustainable solutions to drive economic growth and improve the quality of life for our residents.
Driven by a passion for urban planning, community development and the delivery of complex regeneration projects, you will join a committed team working to create a thriving and vibrant borough. This role offers the opportunity to bring fresh ideas, influence outcomes and deliver visible, long-lasting change on the ground.
Test Valley Borough Council is delivering exciting and ambitious regeneration masterplans for Andover and Romsey town centres, with significant public and private investment and the Council as a major landowner. This programme of major capital projects will transform both towns through high-quality place-making, incorporating a strong mix of residential, commercial and public realm improvements.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced, strategic thinker and natural leader to play a key role in shaping and delivering transformative town centre developments. You will bring extensive experience of managing complex, long-term development projects, strong commercial awareness and the ability to work collaboratively across the organisation and with external partners. You will ideally have experience across a range of workplace environments, preferably in both the Public and Private sector. You will be commercially focused and able to understand how to balance the different demands of property development in a local government setting.
The role focuses on the delivery and contract management elements of the regeneration programme. You will lead on a number of major projects while also providing specialist advice across the wider programme. Sound knowledge of procurement and the management of large, complex capital construction projects is therefore essential.
The council is a great place to work with strong values and leadership, making it a place for everyone to thrive. We can offer you a supportive and welcoming work environment with flexible working hours, great opportunities for development. We have an excellent range of benefits including local government pension scheme, generous holiday entitlement, free on-site parking and discounted leisure facilities.
