Help Shape Health and Wellbeing Where It Matters Most – In the Heart of Our Communities

2x Community Wellbeing Workers

37 hours per week – fixed term contracted for 2 years

Grade 6 salary range £31,158 – £33,940 per annum

We are excited to offer two new opportunities for Community Wellbeing Workers to join our Housing and Environmental Health team as part of an innovative two-year pilot project within a local community in Andover.

These new roles build on the success of local partnership initiatives, including the Health Hub, and represents a unique opportunity to work directly with households to support healthier, happier lives. It’s all about making a real impact, person by person, street by street.

What will you be doing?

Working within a defined group of households, you’ll:

  • Build trusted relationships with residents through home visits and work alongside the community.
  • Identify and understand barriers to wellbeing, including housing, income, mental health, and social isolation.
  • Offer personalised, practical support and connect people with local services.
  • Lead on local smoking cessation efforts, working collaboratively with residents and partners to design community-led solutions.
  • Champion and promote preventative health information and encourage participation in local health initiatives.
