This is an exciting opportunity to joinTest Valley Borough Council’s proactive and forward-thinking Housing teamas aResettlement Officer If you're passionate about supporting vulnerable individuals and helping them achieve long-term housing stability, we want to hear from you

As a Tenancy Sustainment Officer, you will work closely with the Housing Options Team to prevent homelessness, support vulnerable residents and help households move on from temporary accommodation

You will provide targeted, strength-based and person-led support to households with complex needs, helping them access essential services, sustain accommodation, improve wellbeing and avoid repeat rough sleeping

You will also deliver reactive support to residents at risk in the private rented sector, working with landlords to resolve issues early and prevent eviction

You will provide tenancy sustainment support to residents in private rented or temporary accommodation to set up and settle into their homes, manage their tenancies independently, complete periodic tenancy checks and overcome barriers to long-term housing stability

We are not necessarily looking for previous housing experience yourattitude, empathy, and commitment to supporting othersare what matter most You may have transferable skills and gained experience in a similar or closely related field

You will have to operate within housing legislation and the Council’s own policies You will be motivated with a can do attitude and will work flexibly to accommodate ever changing priorities

This is a community-based role, with most of your time spent visiting clients in their homes While some office-based work is required, flexibility for home working is limited Office space is available in bothAndoverandRomsey
