We're looking for a motivated and enthusiastic Recycling Development Team Leader to support our team and to help increase recycling participation, reduce contamination and engage with residents., As Recycling Development Team Leader, you will:
- Investigate and resolve recycling and waste collection issues.
- Work alongside our collection teams to tackle areas with low recycling participation and high contamination.
- Carry out promotional and educational campaigns that encourage waste minimisation and recycling.
- Lead and support a small team of Recycling Development Officers and operational staff.
We're looking for someone who can bring:
- Experience working in a customer-focused environment.
- Experience supervising or leading a team and motivating others.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Confidence engaging with members of the public and building positive relationships.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise competing demands.
- The ability to analyse information and use data to support decision-making.
- A proactive approach with a genuine passion for environmental improvement.
You will also have:
- A full driving licence.
- Education to A-Level standard, or equivalent qualification/experience.
- Customer service experience or equivalent experience.
- A good understanding of environmental legislation and recycling-related practices.
- Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office.
