At Test Valley Borough Council we are passionate about working with our communities in a way that celebrates their uniqueness, their sense of belonging, and the ambitions people have for the places where they live. As Hampshire enters a period of major change in how local government is organised, we are looking for a skilled project manager with expertise in organisational change and transformation to help us shape and drive our Local Government Reorganisation (LGR) programme – ensuring our communities remain at the heart of everything we do.
This six-month fixed-term role (covering maternity leave) is an exceptional opportunity for those seeking to make a difference for local communities and quickly gain senior experience on the most significant change facing the sector in a generation. We are looking for someone who has the skills and attitude to make an immediate impact, working in a way that demonstrates our values and behaviours.
This role will give you the opportunity to work with colleagues from across the council, as well as working closely with the senior leadership team and councillors. Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to keep teams focused amid competing deadlines are essential.
You will be supported by a collaborative, encouraging team within our Strategy and Innovation Service, giving you the chance to quickly develop your skills in convening, influencing and leading others through change - helping colleagues stay focused on what matters most: delivering outcomes that genuinely improve people's lives.
We are a friendly, supportive organisation that invests in our people. Alongside agile working, we offer a range of employee benefits including discounted gym membership.
