Test Valley is a diverse and attractive area, including the North Wessex Downs National Landscape, the historic town of Romsey, and the River Test, with Andover as a commercial centre. We are seeking a Planning Assistant to join the Northern Development Management Team to help deliver regeneration projects in Andover and Romsey.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage own caseload of mainly householder development proposals.
  • Attend planning committee meetings.
  • Represent the Council at appeals.
  • Produce high‑quality written reports.
  • Interpret legislation, understand complex issues and communicate diplomatically.
