Location: Andover based (working at various locations across Test Valley and in Hampshire)

Contract Type: Full time 37 hours a week

Working Hours: 8:30 am to 4:30 pm Monday to Thursday and 4:00 pm Friday

Salary: £36,482.04 to £39,845.88 per annum (Grade 7)

Overview: Are you looking for a new role, to flex your skill set, make your own by taking on a new challenge? We have a great opportunity for an experienced electrician to join our team helping to manage repairs and support new developments at our council properties. This is an exciting opportunity based within our trade team that helps us to deliver our maintenance services across Test Valley Borough Council.

The team: The trade team you would be joining is made up of professional and friendly, supportive colleagues. The team work together and take on all aspects of construction work from electrics and plumbing to carpentry and building.

What You’ll Be Doing: As our electrician, you’ll get to take on not only electrical work but a whole variety of jobs, as well as being given the opportunity to ‘multi-task’ and get involved in other areas of the team’s work. You will be assisting with the established team of tradesmen carrying out maintenance and refurbishment work across a range of commercial properties.

Salary And Experience: We are looking for an all‑round experienced individual and a full driving licence is required, which enables you to drive a Council‑owned van.

Working flexibly: We support our staff to optimise their time and balance work with supporting their well‑being and other aspects of their lives. The working week is 37 hours and can be flexible in agreement with your manager.

About The Council Service: The Trade Team Sit In Test Valley Borough Council’s Property and Asset Management Service manages the council’s buildings and this includes; utility management, lease management, preventative and reactive maintenance activities, workspace management, security management and cleaning.
