Employment Type: Full time, 37 hours per week (7:00am – 3:00pm, Monday to Friday)

Overview

Our Property & Asset Management Service looks after the Council's buildings and assets to ensure they are safe, compliant and maintained to a high standard, supporting the delivery of quality services across the borough. In this role, you’ll undertake a range of compliance-based activities across our property portfolio, including fire safety checks, PAT testing and vacant property inspections.

Responsibilities

  • Act as a key holder, opening buildings and carrying out inspections.
  • Set up meeting spaces and assist building users.
  • Ensure all statutory compliance records are accurately maintained.
  • Travel across the borough as required (UK driving licence required).

Qualifications & Experience

  • Good standard of education and experience in a practical, customer‑focused environment.
  • Basic building maintenance knowledge and strong communication skills.
  • Ability to work to deadlines.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for business use.
  • Experience in a facilities, caretaker or site‑based role is advantageous.
  • Training will be provided – compliance‑related qualifications such as PAT testing and fire door inspections are welcome; access to wider corporate learning and development is available.
