We are excited to invite applications for the position of Data Centre Engineer to join our bankβs IT team. This role involves managing, maintaining, and securing our data centre infrastructure. You will be responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing a secure, scalable, and resilient data centre infrastructure across our facilities, ensuring operational excellence and supporting less experienced team members.
Responsibilities include:
- Leading operations of client data centre environments.
- Maintaining operational continuity and managing reports and team members.
- Upholding high standards in data centre operations.
Technical duties:
- Managing budgets and procurement for on-premises services.
- Implementing risk management strategies and SOPs.
- Maintaining asset management and lifecycle reports.
- Ensuring documentation is audit-ready and supporting capacity planning.
- Managing change processes and incident resolution.
Vendor and stakeholder collaboration:
- Collaborating with vendors and stakeholders to integrate solutions.
- Leading incident response and root cause analysis.
- Planning upgrades and ensuring policy compliance.
Project management and maintenance:
- Managing network projects and ensuring timely completion.
- Tracking preventative maintenance tasks and faults.
Reporting:
- Preparing monthly reports on power usage, capacity, and other metrics.
Qualifications and experience:
- Experience in technology and operations, preferably in finance or banking.
- Knowledge of security standards like PCI-DSS, CIS, NIST.
- Experience in incident management and vendor SLAs.
