Candidates must be willing to work from this location.

Blended offsite/onsite working arrangement.

Contract Duration: 12 months with further extensions

No Of Positions: 1

· Working within the island of Ireland is mandatory.

· Minimum attendance of two days per week at the office.

· Full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 hours per day (excluding breaks), between 8 a.m. and 6 p.m.

· Excludes public holidays observed in the Republic of Ireland.

Mandatory Requirements (Pass/Fail)

ü Experience Level: The candidate must have more than 7 years of relevant UI/UX Designer/Programmer experience at a senior level.

ü Availability: The candidate must be available to commence work from 3rd November 2025.

ü English Language Proficiency: The candidate must be fluent in both spoken and written English.

The following non-exhaustive list of Key Deliverables are applicable to this Role.

· Implement Design Governance and maintenance of Design Guidelines and principles to facilitate the Department\’s vision by researching, conceiving, sketching, prototyping and user-testing experience for digital products.

· Apply UX design best practices to identify design problems and devise elegant solutions with intuitive user experiences.

· Working effectively with Business Analysts/Product Owner and other project stakeholders to deliver optimal user experience solutions.

· Drive a user experience from start-to-finish that delivers results and provides simple and elegant products that meet the needs of the customer.

· Model workflows and plan tasks for UX design projects.

· Working with the Fisheries Design system and ensuring it is aligned with gov.ie and DAFM standards.

· Design and deliver wireframes, mock-ups and proofs of concepts (POCs) for internal and external facing systems in both web and mobile app environments.

· Provide the development team with leadership and guidance in the application of UX design features.
