Introduction: Test Inc, the UK's fastest-growing company in our sector, is searching for an outstanding Business Development Manager (BDM) to join our dynamic, innovative and ambitious team. The Opportunity: We are looking for an ambitious and commercially focused Business Development Manager to identify, develop and close new business opportunities. The successful candidate will manage opportunities from initial prospecting and discovery through to proposal and close. They will work closely with our technical and estimating teams to develop solutions that address customers' operational and electrical compliance challenges.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Generate & close New Business opportunities in target sectors.
  • Achieve pipeline, activity, and revenue targets.
  • Conduct structured & consultative discovery meetings to understand customer challenges, requirements and buying processes.
  • Execute high-volume outbound activity to engage prospective clients.
  • Build, manage, and continuously develop a robust pipeline of new business opportunities.
  • Produce accurate forecasts and use the CRM to log clear next steps against every opportunity.
  • Handle objections confidently and persistently to progress conversations.
  • Consistently meet and exceed monthly KPIs.

Key Requirements:

  • 1-3 years of B2B full 360 sales ownership or Technical Sales.
  • Demonstrable history of meeting revenue & pipeline targets.
  • Delivers strong consultative discovery meetings.
  • A strong record of taking opportunities from first contact through discovery, proposal, negotiation and close.
  • Confidence in speaking with both operational and senior stakeholders.
  • Strong objection-handling skills and ability to secure next steps.
  • Confidence using a CRM such as HubSpot to manage pipeline, next steps, close dates and forecasting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Highly resilient, tenacious, and self-motivated.

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience in building management, facilities, engineering, or related sectors.
  • Existing relationships within facilities management, healthcare, public sector, data centres, manufacturing or other critical environments.
  • Experience representing a business at exhibitions, conferences, webinars and industry events.
  • Formal sales training in consultative selling, SPIN, MEDDICC, Challenger, GAP selling or a similar methodology.
