What you will be involved in:
- Planning and conducting user research to understand the needs, behaviours, and experiences of people using digital services.
- Selecting appropriate research methods such as interviews, usability testing, surveys, and observational studies.
- Analysing and synthesising research findings into clear, actionable insights.
- Sharing research outcomes to inform service, content, and interaction design decisions.
- Working collaboratively with stakeholders, UCD and product development teams.
- Advocating for user-centred design across multidisciplinary teams.
- Supporting continuous testing and improvement of services throughout delivery.
- Ensuring research activities follow ethical, safeguarding, and data protection standards.
Technical Requirements:
- Experience planning and conducting qualitative and/or quantitative user research.
- Knowledge of a range of research methods and when to apply them.
- Ability to analyse research data and communicate insights clearly.
- Experience designing and running usability testing.
- Understanding of accessibility and inclusive research practices.
- Experience working in agile or iterative delivery environments.
- Ability to recruit and engage diverse participant groups.
- Familiarity with research tools, recording methods, and insight reporting techniques.
Desired skills:
- Experience contributing to research strategies, standards, or repositories.
