We are a growing software consultancy with 190 passionate engineers, designers, and strategists. As we expand, we seek an experienced Business Development Manager to develop and grow new relationships with customers in our target sectors and lead our growing Business Development team. Working alongside the CEO and Senior Leadership Team, this role will develop a pipeline of new business for TDS whilst managing the performance of a small but engaged business development team.
Responsibilities
- Pipeline development: Map out key markets, sectors and organisations and identify opportunities for TDS to win new contracts.
- Contact prospecting: Engage stakeholders including C‑Suite through a number of prospecting methods including LinkedIn, email campaigns and proactive calling.
- Proposal & Bid creation: Lead the preparation of prospecting materials, proposals and bids with the support of technical SMEs and senior leaders and be able to present these to client stakeholders.
- Closing opportunities: Ensure the closing of qualified opportunities and support the handover of new clients into the existing Account Management function.
As our Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for spearheading our expansion into new markets and sectors, drive new business development and ensure new logo acquisition in line with our wider commercial strategy.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in business development or sales in IT or Digital consultancies.
- Understanding of the services we offer and the sectors we operate in.
- Ability to operate at pace, with regularly updating plans and initiatives.
- Capability to build relationships at all levels including C‑suite.
- Comfortable leading the creation and presentation of technical proposals and pitches with clients.
- Commercial understanding of fee structures, pricing models and forecasting.
- Knowledge of available prospecting tools (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator).
