Year 3 Primary Teacher – Maternity Cover

The Education Specialists (TES) is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 3 Primary Teacher to join a welcoming primary school, providing maternity cover from January.

This is a full-time, long-term maternity cover position, offering the opportunity to deliver high-quality teaching to a Year 3 class within a supportive and well-structured school environment.

The school has a strong focus on pupil progress and inclusive learning, with a collaborative staff team and a positive learning culture, making this an excellent opportunity for a Primary Teacher looking to develop their practice in a supportive setting.

Year 3 Primary Teacher role requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
  • Experience teaching within a UK primary school setting
  • Experience teaching within Key Stage 2, ideally Year 3
  • Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum
  • Ability to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • A proactive and reflective approach to teaching
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting pupil wellbeing
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service or willingness to apply

The successful Year 3 Primary Teacher will:

  • Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 2 primary curriculum
  • Differentiate teaching to meet a range of learning needs
  • Monitor, assess and track pupil progress
  • Manage behaviour effectively in line with school policies
  • Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment
  • Work collaboratively with teaching staff, SENCO and leadership
  • Provide continuity and stability for pupils throughout the maternity cover period
