Job Description

We are currently looking to appoint an experienced 18T HGV Driver with HIAB to join our successful team in Broxburn. If you are a hardworking, flexible individual who enjoys being part of a team, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.

Please note: Due to continued growth, our Broxburn branch will be relocating to Uphall in the near future.

The Role

As one of our drivers, you will be customer-facing and responsible for delivering civils and drainage products to customers throughout Broxburn and the surrounding areas.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Safe and efficient operation of an 18T vehicle
  • Completing deliveries accurately and on time
  • Ensuring compliance with all driver and vehicle legislation
  • Representing JDP professionally at each delivery point
  • Providing excellent customer service and maintaining JDP’s strong reputation

Candidate Profile

The successful candidate will have:

  • A positive, supportive attitude and willingness to learn all aspects of the operation
  • A valid Class C licence
  • HIAB certification or experience
  • Driver CPC training completed
  • A digital tachograph card
  • Good knowledge of workplace Health & Safety practices
  • A strong understanding of driver procedures, including driving hours rules and regulations
  • The ability to plan efficient delivery routes
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills

Qualifications

Must hold Class C licence.

Having FLT experience would be beneficial.
