Prospero Teaching is looking for passionate and skilled ESOL/EAL Tutors to support learners across the Knowsley area. This is a rewarding opportunity for tutors who want flexible work that fits around their schedule while making a meaningful difference to learners developing their English language skills.
What You'll Be Doing
- Delivering tailored ESOL/EAL sessions 1:1 or in small groups, either face-to-face or online.
- Supporting learners at a range of proficiency levels across speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Creating engaging, level-appropriate lesson plans and resources.
- Helping learners build confidence, independence, and access to the wider curriculum.
- Working with students from diverse backgrounds, including those new to English or with additional learning needs.
- Tracking progress, setting achievable targets, and providing clear feedback.
What We're Looking For
- Experience delivering ESOL/EAL support in schools, colleges, community settings, or tutoring environments.
- Strong understanding of ESOL/EAL strategies and language acquisition approaches.
- CELTA, TESOL, TEFL or similar qualification (desirable).
- Right to work in the UK and willingness to complete an Enhanced DBS check.
- A patient, supportive, and culturally sensitive approach.
