As a Logistics Controller at Eventor, you will be responsible for deploying allocated resources in the most effective way, ensuring compliance with the Working Time Directive (WTD) and EU Drivers Legislation.
Hours: 4 On 4 Off 12hr shift, rotating between Days and Nights.
Shifts: 06:00 β 18:00 / 18:00 β 06:00.
Key Responsibilities
Maintaining driver/core staff rosters to ensure resource capability over a 24/7 period including reactive and emergency response.
Ensuring the numbers within the emergency response driving team are consistently maintained.
Implement and deploy the Emergency Plan ensuring compliance with Company Procedure.
Responsible for the allocation of ESL transport assets to individual convoys as required for all deployments.
Planning of routes and alternative routes, site locations and establishing and assisting with contingency planning.
Act as a liaison between convoy commander(s) and TLMP Liaison Officer (Customer appointed on shift).
Ensuring ongoing verbal communication with the driver(s) during Adhoc Move Requests from the customer to supplement the use of Microlise to give updates.
Ensuring clear daily communication between shifts, utilising the shift handover document and passing on critical information/concerns to Team Leader and Contract Manager.
Occasionally assisting when required at drivers/debrief counter for Customer specific movements only.
Respond to customer requests for movement or other enquiries, escalating as required.
Calculating transport costs and submitting them for approval.
Requesting drivers & tractor units as required.
Advising Forecast Team.
Administrative tasks, including weekly hours, vehicle mileage, production of KPIs.
Out of hours support to Eventor Drivers (secondary to Customer specific work).
Liaise with Customer Services on drivers\β behalf.
Assist with tyre call outs and breakdowns.
Update GTS accordingly as required.
Assist with tracking Formula 1 Trucks in season as required (secondary to Customer specific work).
To comply with health, Safety, Environment rules to ensure the safety of all employees, contractors and visitors.
To report any breaches of Health and Safety to your Line Manager immediately.
To report any accidents, incidents or close calls in line with Company procedure and assist in any investigations which may be required.
Qualifications
Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Access and Outlook.
Working knowledge of WTD and EU Drivers Hours (Core).
Working knowledge of GTS and Microlise applications.
Good customer service skills.
