Reed Further Education are currently seeking a knowledgeable and experienced TESOL Assessor/Tutor to support learners undertaking their TESOL qualification. Please note: This is NOT an ESOL teaching role. The position focuses on assessing and supporting trainee TESOL practitioners rather than delivering ESOL lessons to learners.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assess learners working towards their TESOL qualification
  • Provide guidance, feedback, and support to trainee teachers
  • Conduct observations and assess teaching practice
  • Ensure assessment decisions meet awarding body and quality standards
  • Maintain accurate learner records and progress tracking
  • Support learners in successfully achieving their qualification

Essential Requirements

  • Assessors Award (CAVA / A1 or equivalent)
  • PTLLS / AET (or equivalent teaching qualification)
  • Experience delivering or supporting TESOL training
  • Strong understanding of assessment processes and quality standards
  • Ability to mentor and support trainee teachers

Desirable

  • Experience assessing teaching qualifications
  • Background in teacher training or education programmes
