Prospero Teaching are recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Arabic as a first language, to start immediately at a secondary school in Manchester. The successful candidate will be a fluent speaker of Arabic and have experience teaching English as a foreign language.
Location: North Manchester
Contract: Full-time / Term-time only
Minimum pay rate: £100/day
Are you passionate about supporting young people in their education? We are seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to join our vibrant secondary school near North Manchester. This is an exciting opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of students and become part of a supportive and forward-thinking team.
What will you do:
- Work closely with teachers to support learning in the classroom.
- Provide one-to-one and small group support to students who speak Arabic as a first language.
- Assist in preparing resources and maintaining a positive learning environment.
- Encourage and motivate students to achieve their full potential.
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
- Fluent in Arabic.
- Hold a TEFL qualification.
- Previous experience working in a UK school is desirable.
- Experience working with young people in either a voluntary or professional capacity is desirable.
- Up to date Safeguarding training issued in the last year or willingness to complete Prospero's online Safeguarding Training.
To be eligible for this role through Prospero Teaching, you must:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK.
- Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application.
- Provide two professional child related references.
