About Us
Westminster Education, a subsidiary of Lansha group, provides full-spectrum UK education services from age 5 to PhD, including subject training, private school applications, AEGIS guardianship, and summer camps. We are now looking for passionate and qualified remote tutors to deliver high-quality UK curriculum lessons to students based overseas, helping them excel in KS3/GCSE/A-Level exams (aligned with UK exam boards) and secure offers from top UK schools and universities.
Your Core Responsibilities
- Deliver live remote lessons (1-on-1 or small group) to overseas students aged 11-18 for KS3, GCSE and A-Level levels, covering Verbal Reasoning, Non-Verbal Reasoning, Maths and other GCSE/A-Level subjects (e.g. Sciences, Languages).
- Design and deliver lessons strictly aligned with UK exam board syllabuses (AQA, Edexcel, OCR, Cambridge International) and mainstream UK educational textbooks/workbooks, tailoring content to students’ learning levels and goals.
- Create personalized learning plans, track student progress, and provide regular detailed feedback to students and parents (in English) on academic performance and improvement strategies.
- Prepare teaching materials (e.g. practice papers, revision notes) and conduct mock exams to help students master exam skills and boost confidence.
- Collaborate with our UK education team to align teaching with UK private school/university admission requirements (e.g. UKiset, ISEB, CAT4 exam skills integration).
- Maintain a positive and interactive remote learning environment, motivating students to engage with the UK curriculum and develop critical thinking skills.
What We’re Looking For
- Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Strong subject expertise in the taught subject(s) with a UK university degree (2:1 or above) in a relevant field, or equivalent academic qualification.
- In-depth knowledge of UK KS3/GCSE/A-Level syllabuses (AQA/Edexcel/OCR/Cambridge) and mainstream UK teaching resources/workbooks.
- Proven teaching/tutoring experience (1+ year) in UK curriculum, with experience teaching international/Chinese students preferred.
- Fluent in English (written and spoken) - native or near-native proficiency is required (ability to communicate basic Chinese is a plus, not essential).
- Comfortable with remote teaching tools (Zoom, Microsoft Teams, online whiteboards) and basic digital literacy for lesson delivery and material sharing.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills - able to connect with young learners, adapt teaching styles to different learning needs, and build trust with students and parents.
- Reliable, responsible and self-motivated - able to manage your own schedule and deliver high-quality lessons on time.
- Experience teaching Verbal/Non-Verbal Reasoning for UK private school entrance exams (UKiset, ISEB, CAT4).
- UK teaching qualifications (QTS, PGCE) or international tutoring certifications (TEFL/CELTA/TESOL).
- Familiarity with UK private school/university admission processes for international students.
- Flexibility to teach during Beijing time evenings/weekends (UK time mornings/afternoons) - the core learning time for our students.
