Connex Education is seeking skilled and motivated Higher Level Teaching Assistants (HLTAs) to work across a range of primary schools across Wiltshire. We are working exclusively with a large and highly regarded Multi‑Academy Trust that operates across the South West. The Trust is well known for its inclusive approach, strong community connections and commitment to delivering high standards of education while supporting the wellbeing and development of both pupils and staff.

We are looking for confident and experienced HLTAs who can support learning across EYFS, KS1, and KS2. This role involves taking an active lead in classroom support, delivering interventions and, where required, covering planned lessons.

Responsibilities
  • Support and enhance teaching and learning across primary classrooms
  • Deliver planned lessons and learning activities when required
  • Lead targeted small group and 1:1 interventions
  • Support pupils within whole‑class learning environments
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, SENCOs, and support staff
  • Assist in implementing EHCP targets and tailored learning plans
  • Contribute to a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Adapt effectively across different school settings and year groups
What We’re Looking For
  • HLTA qualification or substantial experience working at HLTA level
  • Strong understanding of the primary curriculum
  • Experience within UK primary school settings
  • Confident behaviour management and classroom support skills
  • Ability to build positive relationships with pupils and staff
  • A flexible, proactive and reliable approach
  • Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare
  • Experience supporting SEND (including ASD, ADHD, SPD, SEMH, SLCN) is highly desirable
