Join the BIW Plant Launch team and play a key role in delivering new Jaguar programmes. This position offers the chance to support a seamless transition from launch build phases into full‑scale production, ensuring exceptional standards in Safety, Quality and Delivery. You’ll contribute to achieving programme targets within budget while helping to exceed customer expectations.

What To Expect

  • A hands‑on launch role focused on supporting new programme delivery, driving robust processes, and ensuring a smooth transition from launch builds into stable, high‑quality production.
  • Support process, product and facility design reviews across Solihull and other sites, providing data‑driven plant input and ensuring all deliverables are clearly communicated and met.
  • Work with Engineering teams to raise, track and report issues, snags and CCARs throughout online build phases and buy‑off events, supporting timely resolution.
  • Provide on‑the‑ground support during launch build phases and into Production as required.
  • Facilitate and deliver training for new equipment and processes to relevant operational teams.
  • Implement IPS and lean manufacturing tools, including group problem‑solving and the creation of process documentation such as method statements, schedules and risk/ergonomic assessments.
  • Contribute to the development of production‑ and maintenance‑friendly facilities, preventative maintenance practices, manuals, and spares availability.
  • Generate CCARs and PPS for plant concerns, participate in zone meetings, and use Agile methodology and JIRA to manage tasks and issues effectively.

What You’ll Need

  • Relevant indentured or advanced modern apprenticeship.
  • Strong knowledge of ABB robots, PLCs, communication protocols and safety BUS systems.
  • Confident PC skills, including Excel, PowerPoint, email and Google applications, with strong presentation ability.
  • Excellent understanding of Health & Safety requirements and procedures.
  • Full UK driving licence and a valid passport.
  • Awareness of JLR product electrification and wider automotive industry developments.
  • Working knowledge of plant engineering and body construction activities.
