What To Expect

Location: The role can be flexible within the UK.

The Project Manager is responsible for ensuring that large battery storage \”turnkey\” projects provided by Tesla Energy are procured, built, and commissioned to a high standard of quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.

The Project Manager supports the Business and Engineering teams during the costing and specification phase and manages contractors once projects are signed. They oversee sites and contractors during construction and commissioning phases.

Experience in managing commercial/industrial electrical installations is required. A solid electrical engineering background and understanding of Health and Safety management are essential.

Candidates should demonstrate a strong work ethic, team orientation, creativity, passion, and a desire to innovate within a dynamic technology landscape.

What You\’ll Do

  • Support Tesla Energy during the sales and specification phase, including managing contractors, preparing tender documents, and evaluating project sites.
  • Assist with design and permitting, supporting approval processes and liaising with contractors and customers.
  • Manage installation and commissioning, ensuring projects meet timelines, quality standards, safety regulations, and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with the wider Tesla Energy team to adhere to local H&S and regulatory requirements, provide feedback, and perform additional duties as needed.

What You\’ll Bring

  • Relevant experience in managing electrical projects, including contractor management and high-value industrial electrical installations.
  • Experience and qualifications in Health and Safety management.
  • Knowledge of local codes, regulations, and working with DNOs for grid connections is advantageous.
  • Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail, and fluency in English.

Additional beneficial experience includes electrical inspection and testing, and working with MV/HV systems.
