Installio is looking for a driven and knowledgeable Solar PV & Battery Installation Manager to join our growing team, helping us deliver high-quality, compliant, and efficient renewable energy systems. Tasks

  • Oversee and manage installation teams in the Oxford area.
  • Provide quality assurance and technical support for residential solar and battery systems.
  • Manage teams on the ground and problem solve to ensure installs go according to plan, to the highest quality standards, and in accordance with regulations such as MCS.

This role is ideal for an experienced solar engineer or electrician looking to move into a supervisory role either on a permanent or contract basis.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the install teams for residential solar PV and battery storage systems.
  • Audit jobs for quality and compliance.
  • Ensure all installs meet MCS standards, G99/G100 compliance, and building regulations.
  • Provide technical guidance to installers, project managers, and customers.
  • Support installer vetting, training, and quality assurance processes.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues and refine system designs based on installer feedback.
  • Manage on site health and safety.

Requirements

Required

  • Proven experience installing solar PV and battery systems.
  • Strong understanding of electrical installation practices and BS 7671 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
  • Experience with MCS standards for solar PV and battery storage.
  • Confidence interpreting surveys, photos, and roof plans.
  • Ability to identify risks, compliance issues, and design optimisations.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a methodical approach.
  • Strong communication skills and confidence advising installers.
  • UK driving licence (site visits).

Nice to have

  • Battery commissioning or advanced training (e.g., GivEnergy, Tesla, SolarEdge).
  • MCS Solar PV qualification or equivalent.
  • Experience leading teams or managing technical workflows.
