About Bolt

Bolt is shaping a future where cities are built for people, not cars.

What started as an ambitious project of a 19-year-old in 2013 has grown into a global mobility platform used by more than 200 million customers and 4.5 million driver and courier partners across 50 countries.

From ride-hailing and food delivery to scooters, e-bikes, and car‑sharing, Bolt helps people move through cities every day.

Small, autonomous teams drive this work, combining the speed and ownership of a startup with the scale of a global technology company backed by more than €1bn in funding.

And we're just getting started.

Why join Bolt?

  • Build the future of mobility and help transform how people live and move in cities.
  • Tackle challenges at scale that span technology, operations, regulation, and growth.
  • Take real ownership early. Small, lean teams mean your decisions matter from day one, and you'll learn fast alongside some of the best people in the industry.
  • Join one of Europe's leading technology companies, backed by world‑class investors including Sequoia.

About The Role

Bolt is building a commercial L4 autonomous ride‑hailing service in Europe.

The programme spans multiple simultaneous workstreams — ADS technology partnerships, vehicle homologation, fleet infrastructure, regulatory approvals, and mobility platform integration — across multiple European markets starting with Luxembourg.

This role exists because moving fast across all of those workstreams simultaneously, while keeping every partner aligned, every regulatory dependency visible, and every documented commitment honoured, requires a distinct person whose primary output is programme coherence.

Not slides.

Not strategy decks.

Actual forward motion, recorded, traceable, and accelerating.

The Technical Programme Manager is the connective tissue of the AV deployment programme.

You sit between the Head of Product & Deployment, the ADS technology partners, the vehicle OEMs, the regulatory authorities, and the internal engineering and operations teams — translating technical complexity into clear decisions, clear accountabilities, and clear written records that the programme can build on.

  • Main Tasks And Responsibilities
  • Own and maintain the master programme plan and critical path across all workstreams, managing risks, dependencies, and milestone reporting to board and external partners.
  • Lead delivery‑focused relationships with ADS technology partners, tracking contractual milestones, running structured review cadences, and managing cross‑partner information flow.
  • Ensure consistency across workstream technical decisions, own interface documentation (stack diagrams, API specs, data flow architecture), and facilitate resolution of technical conflicts.
  • Maintain a regulatory milestone tracker across European markets, coordinate evidence package submissions, and monitor evolving EU and national regulatory requirements for programme impact.
  • Produce and maintain the core documentation set including programme plan, risk register, decision log, and partner commitment tracker, ensuring institutional knowledge is captured and accessible.
  • Write weekly programme status reports, prepare monthly board‑level summaries with milestone progress and risk overviews, and produce formal partner‑facing communications including action logs and change notifications.

About You

  • Solid experience in technical programme or project management in complex, multi‑partner, multi‑workstream environments.
  • Direct experience in at least one of: autonomous vehicles, advanced mobility, robotics, aerospace, or similarly safety‑critical systems engineering.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage simultaneous delivery relationships with external technology partners — not just internal teams.
  • Experience producing and maintaining programme documentation that technical and non‑technical stakeholders actually use: programme plans, risk registers, decision logs, integration architecture documents.
  • Comfort operating at both the strategic level (board communications, partner strategy) and the detailed level (tracking individual deliverable milestones, running working‑level partner reviews).
  • Working knowledge of safety‑critical systems development processes (V‑model, systems engineering, safety case structure, or equivalent) and familiarity with European regulatory environments — type approval, national competent authorities, or equivalent.
  • Why you'll love it here
  • Accelerate your professional growth with unique career opportunities.
  • Enjoy a rewarding salary and stock options, knowing that as Bolt succeeds, so do you.
  • Take care of your physical and mental health with our wellness perks.
  • Celebrate 5 years at Bolt with a 1‑month paid sabbatical to recharge.
  • Connect with colleagues at annual company events and smaller team gatherings.
  • Balance flexibility and in‑person collaboration with our hybrid model, including at least 12 monthly in‑office days.

Some perks may differ depending on your location and role.

At Bolt, using AI daily is a baseline expectation for everyone.

If there’s a faster, smarter way to do your work, we expect you to find it.

You’re still responsible for the output, so the standard stays high when using AI tools.

Experience is great, but what we really look for is drive, intelligence, and integrity. So even if you don’t tick every box, please consider applying!
