With 70,000+ Superchargers, Tesla owns and operates the largest global, ultra-fast charging network in the world. Located on major routes near convenient amenities, Superchargers keep our customers charged when they are away from home. As the expansion of our charging infrastructure continues to grow, we are hiring a Project Developer to continue to develop the Supercharging network by finding and signing the best locations within the UK.
In your day-to-day activities you will work on market research, prospecting potential site hosts, pitching our proposition, negotiating, and closing deals, whilst working alongside a broad range of stakeholders to deliver projects to completion. The ideal candidate comes with strong personal drive, commercial acumen, curiosity and creativity to drive business and customer experience forward. You’re a natural people person – someone who can influence cross-functional project teams and motivate internal and external stakeholders. You have high standards and possess self-belief to work through ambiguity and a fast-paced dynamic environment with multiple and changing priorities. Your prior work experiences have set you up to be autonomous and hit the ground running.
What You'll Do
- Develop and manage pipeline of new site opportunities to host Supercharger stations serving EV drivers in the UK
- Negotiate win-win solutions and close contracts to secure our strategy and goals
- Work closely with internal and external stakeholders to improve customer experience, cost efficiency and project timelines
- Work with internal legal counsel to draft, negotiate and close site host agreements
- Implement and optimize processes to drive efficiency and productivity
- Connect and maintain relationships with potential site hosts and pitch the Supercharging proposition
What You'll Bring
- Min 3 years of relevant work experience in a commercial role
- Autonomous and proactive approach to execution and achievement
- Entrepreneurial and data-driven mindset with ability to identify and act on opportunities
- Highly organized, able to project manage 20+ projects in various phases simultaneously
- Self-starter, able to work independently and get the job done
- Track record of developing, driving, and closing business opportunities. Completer-finishers wanted
- Excellent communicator, able to persuade and influence people from a wide range of roles and backgrounds and strong relationship management + interpersonal skills
- Willing and able to travel extensively on a regular basis with occasional overnight stays
- Affinity with EV charging sector or alternatively renewable energy/e-mobility is preferable
- A Valid Driver's License + Fluency in English
