The EMEA Residential Energy team is looking for a Senior Business Development Manager to support us in our mission to accelerate the transition to sustainable energy. This role is responsible for driving partnerships related to Tesla's European VPP & V2X strategy and developing new commercial offers across the Tesla Energy Ecosystem.

Working on Tesla's Residential Energy team requires wearing many hats and adapting to a fast‑paced work environment. Besides a rock‑solid work ethic and a strong team‑oriented personality, members of the team must display passion for our mission, creativity, and a desire to break new ground in a constantly shifting landscape.

What You'll Do

  • Partnerships related to Tesla's European VPP & V2X strategy: Own relationships with retail electricity providers & other service providers to generate partnerships that maximize value for Tesla Energy and Vehicle customers. Lead market prioritization in Europe and develop business cases, propose offer structures, and own competitive intel to support launch of VPP offers in new markets. Investigate opportunities for other bilateral and non‑market service VPP value creation (e.g. DR programs, DSO/TSO contracts, etc.), and lead creation of new programs where applicable. Ensure success of product marketing and go‑to‑market of new program. Collaborate closely with HQ and local product, policy, and sales teams to drive overall strategy.
  • New commercial offers across the Tesla Energy Ecosystem: Develop financing solutions as core part of Tesla Energy offering across Europe to make our solutions more affordable & drive growth; identify & develop the right partnerships and liaise with Tesla financial services teams. Drive early BD efforts and new proposition development, focusing on bundles across the Tesla Energy ecosystem. Assess new and emerging solutions to unlock sales opportunities for Tesla Energy products; drive cross‑functional scoping and evaluation of these opportunities. Drive cross‑functional efforts across HQ and EMEA leadership teams where needed to support critical business decisions.

What You'll Bring

  • 7+ years of electricity industry experience with a broad understanding of how the European solar, storage, and charging industry works in residential and small commercial segment.
  • Commercial and contracting expertise.
  • Ability to manage large initiatives with many stakeholders, driving the group to decisions and demonstrating results.
  • Ability to define and structure broad asks into logical frameworks for analysis and executive decision making.
  • Very strong written and verbal communication skills appropriate for representing Tesla internally and externally at an executive level.
  • Very strong analytical skills, including financial modeling.
  • High proficiency with Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • English fluency.

Preferred:

  • 10+ years electricity industry experience.
  • Proven track record of successful partnership development.
  • Experience with energy storage, EV charging, and V2X technology and value propositions across residential and/or C&I verticals.
  • Experience with retail & VPP market operations.
  • Advanced financial modeling abilities.
  • Fluency in another European language.
