Role based at CPO location (Manchester, Longbridge, Wolverhampton, Reading, Southampton) or London HQ. As the Operations Specialist Used Cars, you will be part of the Used Car Operations team and work cross‐functionally with Sales, Service and Delivery teams to plan, coordinate, and track vehicle pre‐intake operations. The ideal candidate should possess a strong 'can‐do' attitude, ability to work on multiple business segments simultaneously and be motivated to innovate and strive for daily marginal gains. This role directly supports Tesla's focus on the rapid growth of the Certified Pre‐Owned Program and broader used car operations.
In this role, you will be liaising with teams at Certified Pre‐Owned sites, delivery hubs service teams, and be customer‐facing to private individuals and business accounts in terms of vehicle trade‐ins, inventory and TFS vehicle returns. This role will involve incoming vehicle analysis and pipeline management, accurate data processing and reporting. Additional duties will include supporting the wider Used Car Operations team in vehicle logistics, readiness and vehicle listing aspects.
The successful candidate will need to have exceptional attention to detail, excellent communication skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. They must also be able to work collaboratively with different teams and be comfortable in a fast‐paced environment. This role will play a critical part in the success of Tesla's Used Car Operations.
What You'll Do
- Captive (TFS) lease ends – arranging drop‐offs, remarketing cost calculations, excess mileage, intake documents.
- Operational flow assurance (with Order Ops EMEA and Finance Ops EMEA + NA).
- Trade‐in validation (HPI checks, Lienholder settlements, private plates) for UK and Ireland.
- Outbound customer communications, point of contact for delivery hubs, escalation handling.
- AMP acquisition completion from A to Z.
- Trade‐in annex completion validation for every single trade‐in.
- Point of contact for local service and delivery teams.
- Escalation management with CRES (e.g. undisclosed repairs).
- Wholesale Tesla de‐fleet management (service loaners, mobile service, internal cars, etc.).
