Tesla is seeking an Account Manager for residential energy sales for South East England. Your core responsibility is B2B sales of Tesla residential and small commercial energy products in the UK, with a focus on selling the Powerwall product, a home battery designed to store energy from solar and/or the grid. You will develop, maintain, and grow a productive customer network, such as distributors and third-party installers, and actively drive business development opportunities in your region.
We are looking for an experienced commercial professional with working experience in the PV, wind, or energy storage industry. In addition to a strong work ethic and a team-oriented personality, successful team members exhibit creativity, passion, and a drive to pioneer advancements in an ever-evolving technological and market landscape. This role is based out of London or surrounding areas.
What You'll Do
- Achieve Powerwall and Wall Connector sales targets within assigned channel(s) in the South East region
- Build and maintain relationships across the organization of partner accounts, effectively communicating Tesla's product and feature roadmap
- Evaluate new business opportunities with current and new accounts and/or sales channels, identify suitable product offerings, and take ownership of capturing these opportunities
- Provide key market insights into the broader business team and sales forecasts to business and manufacturing teams
- Support evaluating market dynamics across sectors (utility, commercial & industrial, residential, etc.) and drivers (policy/regulatory, economics, etc.)
- Represent Tesla at sales and marketing events promoting Powerwall
- Help identify and support implementation of initiatives to maintain or improve partner training, partner installation quality, and to improve Tesla operations and fulfilment and Tesla support
- Provide user/customer feedback to IT development teams regarding Tesla tools, systems and to Operations regarding processes
What You'll Bring
- 3+ years of work experience in an account management/channel sales role within the PV, wind or energy storage industry
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
- Ability to prioritize work and execute many projects and tasks in parallel
- Working knowledge of grid/utility markets, as well as grid-tied technologies
- Fluency in English
- Flexibility to travel and a valid driver's license
