The Tesla Body Repair Program is seeking an Estimator / Vehicle Damage Assessor with outstanding technical skills to work on one of the most progressive vehicle brands in the world. Our Vehicle Damage Assessors play an integral role within the Tesla Body Repair Center shop and are critical to the success of the business, acting as the link between the workshop and the market it serves. Estimators are expected to manage a large portfolio of basic to medium complexity repairs, dealing with all aspects from initial enquiry to final settlement.

What You'll Do:

  • Create repair estimates for collision-damaged Tesla Model S, Model X, Model Y, and Model 3 vehicles
  • Build Repair Plans in accordance with Tesla specific repair procedures
  • Bill work in accordance with industry accepted Insurance standards
  • Document all damages requiring repair or parts replacement with photos
  • Direct technicians in disassembly to expose all potential damages upon vehicle intake
  • Order all replacement parts as needed
  • Communicate with insurance company to submit claim and billing, negotiating best possible terms
  • Consult with peers to determine the best approach if Repair VS Replace is not clear
  • Update Customers on repair progress
  • Close billing and perform vehicle handovers
  • Complete all estimates using the country specific estimating system (Audatex, Cabas, CCC One or DBS)
  • Work closely with peers to ensure accuracy and consistency with day-to-day operations of the Bodyshop

What You'll Bring:

  • Previous experience as a Vehicle Damage Assessor within a Bodyshop environment, ideally 1yr+
  • Vocational training as a Bodyshop Technician is desirable
  • Be a proficient user of at least one estimating system, eg Audatex, DAT, Cabas, DBS etc
  • A good understanding of how estimates impact profitability
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A clear understanding of health & safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment
  • Complete comprehensive understanding of full refinishing processes within the Bodyshop business
  • The ability to deliver the highest quality standard of repair every time
  • A good understanding of tools & equipment used for all refinishing processes
  • A valid driving license for 2 or more years
