Tesla is looking for a Paint Technician to work on one of the most progressive, innovative vehicle brands in the world. The Paint Technician is responsible for carrying out high-quality repairs to vehicle bodywork, ensuring all work meets our manufacturer standards and customer expectations.

What You’ll Do

  • Learn and understand Tesla systems and processes
  • Have a comprehensive understanding of industry EHS requirements
  • Understand Body Repair processes
  • Be able to identify different substrates utilised in vehicle production
  • Undertake the relevant preparation on vehicle substrates within the refinish process
  • Identify paint defects and root causes
  • Perform cosmetic repairs to steel, aluminium and plastic components
  • Apply panel sealers and stone guard protection on relevant areas
  • Apply primers, surfacers, single stage basecoats and clear coats
  • Hold a clear understanding of colour fundamentals and be able to mix recipes to required accuracies
  • Possess the ability to develop and have the willingness to grow within the role and industry
  • Work closely with peers to maintain standards and consistency with day-to-day operations of the Bodyshop
  • Perform other related duties as assigned by Location Management

What You’ll Bring

  • Previous experience as a Bodyshop Technician ideally 3 yrs+
  • Ability to learn in a fast-paced progressive environment
  • A clear understanding of health & safety and good housekeeping in the automotive environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully. Fluent in English.
  • Required to hold a valid Driver’s license
  • Eligible to work in UK
