As an Electrical Service Maintenance Technician at Tesco across Dudley, Lichfield and Wolverhampton areas, you’ll play a vital role in ensuring our stores remain a safe, functional, and welcoming environment for customers and colleagues alike. You’ll be part of a skilled team responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across a range of systems and equipment, helping to keep our operations running smoothly.
Your work will directly impact the shopping experience of thousands of customers every day. You’ll use your technical expertise to identify and resolve issues efficiently, always prioritising safety, compliance, and quality. This is a hands-on role that requires a proactive mindset, strong problem-solving skills, and a commitment to delivering high standards. You will be responsible for:

Responsibilities will include:
- Ensuring all Tesco sites are a safe and functioning environment for customers and colleagues.
- Following the planned work schedule to achieve first-time fix, improving efficiency and effectiveness.
- Working closely with team members, sharing best practice and knowledge.
- General day-to-day store and property maintenance.
- Using mobile devices (phone and tablet) to drive the best approach in work completion and updates.
- Representing the Tesco brand by demonstrating our core values, maintaining a positive attitude and taking pride in wearing the Tesco uniform.
- Attending local and national meetings, providing valuable input and feedback.
- Supporting a diverse and inclusive culture.
You will need:
- Previous experience in a maintenance, engineering, or construction environment.
- Digitally confident using a tablet to view daily work schedules and manage emails.
- Completion of a recognised apprenticeship or improver programme or trade proficiency test / relevant trade experience.
- Basic diagnostics: PCB/Microprocessor / HMI controlled systems / equipment.
- Electrical Safety Circuit – Basic Working Knowledge, fault finding and replacement.
- EICR Remedial Knowledge.
- Full driving license.
- Health & Safety awareness.
- Communication & stakeholder management.
- Office 365 knowledge.
Required Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Level 3 – Electrical (Or Equivalent).
- Apprenticeship/Improver programme.
- EICR Remedial works experience.
Preferable Qualifications:
- City & Guilds Inspection & Testing.
- ECoPs.
- City & Guilds 18th Edition.
- MEWP/IPAF Licence.
