About the role
Marketplace is a key pillar of our strategy to be 'Easily the Most Convenient' grocer, offering customers the opportunity to shop from a broad range of 3rd party products seamlessly on one website and app. The Trading Manager will be responsible for managing on-site content and the customer journey in selected trading events, whilst maintaining the always on trading calendar in the wider team.
You will be responsible for:
- Delivery of the onsite trade plan and customer journey for Marketplace, whilst co-ordinating with the Grocery Home Shopping trade team to plan effective use of digital real estate across the online businesses matched to customer mindset.
- Manage the trading performance of Marketplace, and become the go to person for category performance, content deep dives and weekly trade performance.
- Using digital data through Adobe to inform content decisions and planning of future content, along with SEO reporting to drive impressions and conversion.
- Manage the planning and execution of content changes with Marketplace sellers, building and developing relationships with the Seller Growth team through the product nominations cycle.
- Work collaboratively with our Marketing team to connect hero products into owned and paid channels for weekly trade and key seasonal events.
- Working closely with Marketplace operations and search and browse team to ensure products are merchandised correctly across the site to aid an expanding Marketplace product catalogue.
- Developing and managing collaborative relationships with digital product and technology teams to drive capability improvements for trade and content delivery.
- Manage the planning and delivery of a continuous range of A/B tests to feed into future content plans and strategies, as well as continuous improvement.
- Working with the wider Online Trading team in emerging spaces such as Personalisation and Segmentation to drive future thinking of content planning and execution.
- Champion agile methodologies and AI thinking to drive sophisticated idea generation to help shape the future of content.
- Managing and developing the Marketplace Trade Executive to develop within role and beyond.
You will need:
- Prior experience in Online trading.
- Experience across Food and / or Non Food businesses.
- Actively using analytics to make data driven decisions.
- A passion for E-commerce / digital with 5+ years experience in trading / content roles.
- Experience in a commercial environment in a customer facing role.
- Advanced Reporting capability through Adobe and / or other supporting programmes and tools.
- Agile working.
- Team Management, including development of colleagues.
