Overview
As a Senior UX Designer in the Whoosh team, you shape high-profile digital experiences for Tesco customers. You’ll lead end-to-end UX, from discovery to delivery, partnering with Product, Engineering, Research and UI to turn complex problems into intuitive flows. You’ll champion user-centered design, mentor peers, and contribute to a scalable design system in a fast-moving environment. This is an opportunity to influence product direction and deliver meaningful improvements for customers and colleagues.

Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end UX process from discovery to delivery
- Center customer needs using evidence to craft simpler experiences
- Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Research and UI teams
- Plan and facilitate workshops, design sprints, and reviews
- Create journey maps, flows, wireframes, and prototypes
- Use qualitative and quantitative insights to inform design decisions
- Present design rationale and influence stakeholders
- Contribute to Tesco Digital Design System for consistency
- Mentor and raise design quality across the team
- Seek opportunities to improve research, design, and delivery processes
Key requirements
- Strong experience in UX or product design on complex digital products
- Understanding of user-centered and human-centered design principles
- Experience taking UX work from discovery through to delivery
- Skills in information architecture, journey mapping, user flows, wireframing and prototyping
- Experience using customer research and analytics to inform decisions
- Ability to simplify complex problems into intuitive experiences
- Confidence facilitating workshops and reviews across disciplines
- Strong communication and influencing skills for technical and non-technical audiences
- Experience collaborating with Product and Engineering in a product-led environment
- Collaborative mindset with willingness to coach and share knowledge
