Responsibilities

  • Identifying and unlocking Buy for Less, leading robust negotiations with suppliers to secure sustainable savings and improved commercial outcomes.
  • Developing and executing a market-leading trade and promotional plan that drives category growth, customer penetration and outperformance versus the market.
  • Shaping to deliver the Global Grocery strategic vision, creating clear category roadmaps that protect and grow market share across all channels.
  • Continuously optimising and evolving the product range, delivering first-to-market innovation, trend-led propositions and strong commercial performance.
  • Managing supplier partnerships, co-creating and executing Buy, Move, Grow plans that unlock mutual value and long-term growth.
  • Using data, insights and analytics proactively to identify opportunities, diagnose risks, guide decision-making and maximise performance across the categories.
  • Collaborating cross-functionally to deliver seamless end-to-end execution and a strong customer proposition.
  • Monitoring competitor activity and market trends to inform forward planning and ensure category competitiveness.

You will need

  • Previous range, pricing and promotions management experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Retail buying experience, ideally both Brands and Own Brand.
  • Experience with supplier management, including negotiations, cost price management and Buy, Move, Grow creation.
  • Previous experience with End-to-end category ownership, including managing P&Ls, delivering KPIs, and driving profitable growth.
  • Strong analytical experience, using sales, customer and market data to identify opportunities and shape strategy.
  • Experience leading or influencing cross-functional teams.
