About the role

Availability Window: Days: Mon-Fri 05:00-24:00; Sat 05:00-24:00.

Our Shift Leader rate of pay starts from £14.28 an hour; this increases to £15.41 for stores inside the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location and skills.

It’s our policy to offer new colleagues joining us a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week, but if you’d like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12), we have opportunities for this too.

Customers are at the heart of everything we do. As a Shift Leader, you’ll:

  • Work in a fast-paced retail environment.
  • Take ownership of running duty shifts.
  • Be there for customers, listening to them and helping.
  • Look for ways to improve service, including coaching your colleagues.
  • Guide and support your colleagues in-store.
  • Maintain a great understanding of store performance.
  • Lead from the front, and set a great example.
  • Support your colleagues, ensuring they deliver daily priorities.
  • Open and close the store, ensuring safety.
  • Be the go-to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager.
  • Ensure the store is clean, tidy, and well-presented.
  • Support managers to coordinate events.
  • Provide great customer service.
  • Keep the team informed on any communications.
  • Stay knowledgeable about store performance.
  • Coordinate store improvements.
  • Follow health and safety routines.
  • Recognise and celebrate colleagues providing great service.
  • Build strong relationships with colleagues.
