Overview
Tesco Colleague – Winchester Extra
Location: Tesco Winchester, England, United Kingdom
Salary: from ÂŁ12.45 per hour; this increases to ÂŁ13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may apply depending on location.
Hours: It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours each week; if you would like to work fewer hours (to a minimum of 12) we have opportunities for this too.
Availability: The availability windows define the times you are expected to be available to work. We will schedule your contracted hours within these times, and you’ll have 3 weeks’ notice of exactly when your shifts will be. We are happy to support flexibility for our colleagues; if your times match closely but not exactly, we would still love to hear from you.
Responsibilities
- Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; giving great natural service.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services within the store.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
- Put into practice the training you have received, so we all work safely, effectively and serve our customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers, delivering routines in store that meet needs at the right time.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events, creating a welcoming atmosphere.
- Be knowledgeable about the store’s performance, understand your role in driving service and sales, reducing waste and delivering profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in the best condition.
- Be yourself, live our values, make everyone feel welcome and follow our policies.
- At times, you may be required to accept deliveries into the store.
