Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 per hour. Additional payments may apply depending on location and skills. It is our policy to offer new colleagues a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours per week; however, if you want to work fewer hours (minimum 12), opportunities are available.

Responsibilities

  • Knowing your customers and serving them with passion and pride; delivering great natural service.
  • Being knowledgeable about the products and services within the store and working across service, picking and replenishment areas as required.
  • Putting training into practice to work safely, effectively, and to serve customers brilliantly.
  • Making decisions that are right for customers and delivering store routines that meet needs at the right time.
  • Taking part in seasonal, community and charity events to create a welcoming atmosphere.
  • Understanding store performance and the role you play in driving service, sales, reducing waste and shrink, and delivering profit.
  • Handling products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in good condition.
  • Being yourself, living Tesco values, making everyone feel welcome and following policies.
  • Occasionally accepting deliveries into the store if required.
