Pay and Hours
Our Tesco Colleague rate of pay starts from £12.45 an hour; this increases to £13.66 for stores within the M25. Additional payments may also apply depending on location.
We guarantee a minimum of 16 hours of work each week. If you prefer fewer hours, a minimum of 12 hours is also available.
Availability windows are as follows:
- Sunday: 06:00 – 14:30
- Monday: 06:00 – 14:30
- Saturday: 06:00 – 14:30
We will schedule your contracted hours within these times and provide three‑week notice of exact shift times.
Responsibilities
- Know your customers and serve them with passion and pride.
- Be passionate and knowledgeable about the products and services in the store.
- Work across the store in service, picking and replenishment areas where required.
- Apply training to work safely and effectively, serving customers brilliantly.
- Make decisions that are right for customers and deliver routines that meet their needs in time.
- Take part in seasonal, community and charity events to create an inclusive atmosphere.
- Understand the store’s performance and collaborate to drive service, sales, reduce waste and shrink, and deliver profit.
- Handle products with care to maintain quality and ensure they reach customers in excellent condition.
- Live Tesco’s values, make everyone feel welcome and follow policies at all times.
- Accept deliveries into the store when required.

Eligibility
